Sigh

Argh Firefox, it's pretending to be Windows 8. It has a pseudo Speed Dial that is 3x3 and I can't see any way to adjust. I use the REAL Speed Dial with 10 tabs and some with 30 squares. They are going to tell me I only need nine squares?  Oh sigh, Firefox what did you have to betray your very core.

that is not the worst in firefox 13, the worst is that it ONLY loads tabs WHEN you go to the tab, which means typically a 10 second WAIT on each tab selected and when you go to the NEXT tab ANOTHER 10 second wait.

if you are like me and have firefox open 15-20 tabs at startup, it used to load them in the background after the first tab was loaded, BUT now I MUST WAIT for EACH tab to load as I want to read it.

Isn't that an option, harpo?  I changed it from the one to the other recently because it wasn't handling loading 20 tabs at once very well.

pseudo win8? Don't you mean pseudo google chrome?

Only google chrome limits you to 8 tabs so this is a step up.

jyther, thanks.

webgizmos, just the tabs for pms, my posts in sins, my posts in elemental, my replies in both, modding in both, my stardock store my dropbox, my file factory page, and a few other interesting sections in both elemental & sins.

fuzzy, that is where the dropbears are and you do NOT want to be dropped on by a dropbear. it is bad enough being slept upon by the CYATS, at least THEY do not start 15 to 30 metres ABOVE you and land on you in less than 1/10 of a second.

rossco_p, you are so right, that is where the DROPbears are.

sydneysiders, thanks for the link, but I am a fair distance from sydney, and the outside temp is approx 4 degrees C with rain in a coastal area(normal winter minimums are about 10 degrees c), and it looks like it might get colder (and the worst part is that the reverse cycle aircon stops working at 4 degrees C.

taltaamir,  use chrome for a different set of browsing for different types of information

But I like my Speed Dial.

I use speed dial of FF. I'm satisfied with the nine but I have two groups of nine. FF allows you to make more than one group.

My "I don't know where to put this link" page has 30 very little squares. Once in a while I go through them and toss them into a better category. I think that 12 (4x3) is the default. My default is 5x6. I haven't found yet a program that I can have as many pages as I would like and also make it as many little squares. You also can skin it as it is. Background graphics and colors, fonts, and a couple other. I'm not sure why they haven't come up with the same deal for another browser. Nine little squares are just not the same - Foxfire, Chrome, or IE (I think I saw something like it in IE)

IE9 ....mostly 2 tabs....one WC and the other 'Admin' .... a third might be an aircraft-sim site.... now and then a 4th...google.

That's it....

I use FVD Speed Dial in FF.

Is there an advantage to what you are using LizMarr?
